| In the fifties, research were
undertook to do a new breed of dog. Konrad Lorenz, medicine's Nobel prize,
done cross breeds experiences and, like him, Julius Wipfel (the real creator
of the breed) obtain the first dogs by a cross breed of a female Wolf-Spitz
with a male ChowChow. The breeding program was scientifically plan with
the Gottingen University for all genetic's questions. The selection was pursue with cross between dogs from the same generation in order to well balance morphological and psychological characteristics of the two breeds. Dogs who look like too much ChowChow or Wolf-Spitz were dismiss of the breeding program, also the ones who were too nervous or with a non stable character. Only dogs who were the most representative of the cross breeds, who were not too close of the two foundation breeds, were keep for breeding. Later, professor Konrad Lorenz suggested to add a nordic blood to the breed who was called "Wolf-Chow". The Samoyed was choose to complete and confirm the genetic's pole of that breed : the Eurasier was borned. |

The selection succesfully fixed the breed with the best
physical's qualities and temperament with a really good esthetical aspect.
Elegant, solid, medium size, with a magnificent coat fawn, gray or black.
The Eurasier proudly wear a triangular head, with almond dark eyes,
a right and intelligent expression. This is a real good family dog.
He agree with all kids and keep and eye on them without any jalousy.
Mischievous in their first months of life, as an adult he is reserv,
stable and equilibrate without the lost of his good nature.
Loyal to his owner, he is generally kind with other dogs. The Eurasier is a healthy breed, easy to train, vigilant guardian, attentive to everything who concern his family, he never bark without reason and he never attack human. From the ChowChow, he kept a certain susceptibility and never admit to be bully. He needs to live with the human company and never support to be out of the house to pass all his life tie or in a kennel. The breed was recognized by the "Federation Cynologique Internationale" in 1973 and the breed standard was registered under the number 291 on 1973 February 27th. |
